The MetroTones Pop Chorus of Greater Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, has been in existence since 2001 with some 80 members ranging in age from their teens to their 90's. They sing many Pop and Broadway tunes from the 1920's all the way up to the present in 4, 5 and even 6-part harmony. They have participated in and hosted many charity concerts and have raised a total of $207,416 and a total of 74,300 pounds of food to benefit numerous charities and food banks. So far, $9,000 has been awarded. And the MetroTones purchased a set of risers valued at $12,000 and donated them to the City of Moncton and have invited any group to feel free to use them.
